Library Associate

The Glasgow City-County Library is seeking a part-time permanent Library Associate who is dependable, organized, and has a cheerful outlook.
This job is for someone who enjoys variety in their workload and understands the importance of lifelong learning.
The candidate must be friendly, creative, an initiative-taker, good communicator, and able to collaborate well with people of all ages.
Good computer skills and the ability to learn new software is necessary.
Must be comfortable and knowledgeable helping patrons on computers and mobile devices.
This includes using social media for marketing purposes.
The library associate will perform technical and clerical duties in support of library operations and activities, working at the circulation desk, helping patrons, processing interlibrary loan materials, working on children?s programs and other activities, assisting with outreach services, and performing a variety of tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
The position requires some physical lifting of 25/50 pounds on a regular basis, moving safely up and down stairs and climb ladders.
Work hours are flexible, Monday-Friday with some nights and Saturdays.
Schedule:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
